Last Chance Campground

Camping

We'll be running 3 day/2 night camping trips this summer out to Last Chance Campground in the Tongass National Forest. These will be car camping trips where we will pitch tents, hike near by trails, learn and practice outdoor skills, maps and compass and enjoy the beauty and peace of the outdoors.

Each trip will bring 12 participants out for a 3 day camping trip. KAP will provide all cooking gear, food, tents, sleeping bags and pads to all, as well as other equipment for those who may need some gear to be safe and comfortable. Participants must bring all the items on our packing list which can be found here. The emphasis of this trip is to teach the basic outdoor skills and have some fun. We'll also get as much hiking in as we can on the nearby trails, such as Dude Mountain, Perseverance and a few others.

All participants must be "willing participants."
