Ketchikan Afterschool Program
The Ketchikan Afterschool Program (KAP) is a grant-funded project from the state of Alaska. The target age group for our program is 5th-8th grade, however, some activities go beyond the age range. All KAP activities are currently free and open to any youth to attend. KAP students reside throughout the island, representing a wide range of backgrounds. KAP focuses on providing Sequenced, Active, Focus and Explicit activities during out-of-school time to enhance youth resiliency and their connection with their families and the larger community. KAP is about promoting healthy activities, relationships, and lifestyles while avoiding exposure to at-risk situations.
